3 daily habits that can help you study God's word.

3 daily habits that you can start to help you study God’s word.

A few years ago I wanted to grow in my faith and study God’s word.

These 3 simple habits that I started doing every day really helped me learn more about God and start to memorize God’s word, which had a powerful impact on my life.

God’s word is full of promises and truth for us, it is powerful and living, and as we read it, we get to know God in a new way. There is always something new to discover in God’s word.

“His delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night” Psalm 1:2

Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to study God’s word, so here a few things you can do to get your started.

The first daily habit that you can start to help you study God’s word is:

1.  Read it.

Pick 1 verse and read it every day for 2 weeks. Find a verse that applies to your life at the moment, and as you read that verse, ask God to show give you a fresh revelation of what it means to you.

2.  Write it down.

I started writing verses in my journal a few years ago and it helped me to focus on that verse, and think about it, and as I wrote it down, I looked for key words that might mean something to me.

3.  Meditate on it.

When we meditate on God’s word, it has a powerful effect on our lives. The best way to meditate on God’s word is to write 1 verse down on a piece of paper and stick it up on your bedroom wall, so that every time you see that verse, it helps you meditate on it, and memorize it.

I found these 3 habits to be so helpful for me to help me to get to know God better and grow in my faith.

Here are some simple verses to get your started.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13

“Your word is a Lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” Psalm 119:105

“Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10
