How to build the daily habit of peace.

“The Lord give strength to his peace, the Lord blesses his people with peace” Psalm 29:11

All throughout our lives, we are going to experience times that are difficult, and situations that are hard. You might be facing something today that feel impossible to overcome and not sure where to go or how to experience peace.

How can we build a habit of peace in our lives?

To focus on God and meditate on his word.

God’s word is so powerful and it contains hope, promises and gives us comfort, direction and purpose.

Finding peace in the middle of a difficult time can be hard. I have been in situations before where I felt overwhelmed by what I was going through and not sure how things were going to work out.

“And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds for those who are in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:7

As I build the daily habit on meditating on God’s word, it helped me to fill my mind with something positive and when I did this, I experienced hope and peace.

So when you are faced with something throughout your day, and it has the potential to make you feel overwhelmed, find a verse that you can focus on, to bring you a sense of peace as you continue throughout your day.

If you are going through a season of difficultly, find a few verses about peace and write them on a piece of paper and put them on your bathroom mirror, so that you can focus and meditate on those scriptures.

As you build this daily habit of meditating on God’s word, it will help you to build a sense of peace in your life, so whatever you go through, you are strong and steady, because you have God’s word as your firm foundation.

“The Lord replied, my presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” Exodus 33:14
