How to live a healthy, sustainable life.
How to live a healthy, sustainable life.
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10
What does it mean to life to the full?
In God’s word there are verses that talk about living our lives to the and experiencing an abundant life.
I want to experience the best that God has for me in all areas of my life. I want to live a long, healthy, sustainable life.
A few years ago I started to build small habits in my life, because I really wanted to get fit and healthy. Along the way I discovered some of the important areas that I need to continue to maintain so that I can experience the abundant life it talks about in the Bible. These are the 3 areas I believe that are important to maintain, if you want to live a long, sustainable, abundant life.
1. Spiritual life
One of the most important areas of your life to maintain is your spiritual life. Your spiritual life is your faith in God. I have discovered to make sure my faith is strong and my spiritual life is healthy the keys habits to build are: Reading God’s word and meditating on it, prayer, gratefulness and worship. I started to do these things one at a time for a few minutes and over time it significantly improved my faith in God and my spiritual life.
2. Emotional health
The second area of your life that is essential for you to maintain and take care of is our emotional wellbeing. This means making sure your heart, soul and spirit are strong and healthy. When our emotional wellbeing is healthy, we can handle anything that comes our way, and it helps us to bounce back from difficult situations and tough moments.
3. Physical wellbeing
The third area that is important to build healthy habits in for us to maintain a long, sustainable life is our physical health. The areas I believe that are important when it comes to our bodies are: eating healthy food, drinking lots of water, daily exercise and sleeping well. When we take care of our bodies, we have more energy to enjoy our lives and experience the fullness of everything that God has for us.
